Zone: Maresme / Barcelona Costa Norte

On the north coast of Barcelona and specifically in the Maresme you will find several small villages and urbanizations that stretch along the coast from Montgat to Blanes, where the Costa Brava begins.

This area is ideal for those who want to enjoy a home close to both the mountainous nature and the Mediterranean beaches, and at the same time do not wish to give up being close to the heart of Barcelona. Thanks to its excellent connections to Barcelona, both by train and by car, many people travel daily from the Maresme to Barcelona and vice versa.

In the villages which make up the Maresme there is life all year round. In fact, although there is a lot of tourism during the summer months, there is no real low season and therefore restaurants and stores keep the same hours throughout the year. In this area you can practice all kinds of activities, from horseback riding and hiking in the beautiful mountains that frame the Maresme, to sailing and diving in the Mediterranean, and of course enjoying the beaches along the coast. In addition, the strip of land between the mountains and the sea has some incredible golf courses and tennis clubs. The region is known as well for it’s gastronomy and wine culture. The mile-long, crystal-clear beaches of the Maresme area also attract many city dwellers on weekends.
